Who We Are: Desert West Builders , NV
Desert West Builders designs, ships and erects competitively priced Metal Buildings suitable for every type of project. The list of building applications and industries we serve are extensive and include agricultural, automotive, the craft beverage industry, government, office space, recreation, retail, warehouse & distribution, mini storage, and many other commercial applications.
No customer or project is too small or too big and every job is treated with the highest level of attention to detail. For us, it all starts with ensuring your requirements are met and you are satisfied from the moment you request a quote with us to, quite literally, years after your Pre-Engineered Metal Building is erected. The foundation of our reputation is built off every customer’s satisfaction.
Beware the companies out there with unbelievably low prices. The chances are they are offering a Metal Building built to bare minimum standards with inferior materials. Our buildings stand up to the test of time. They are also built to International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) and the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) 90.1 energy compliance standards. If you wish to construct your building to green standards, we can build your project to be LEED certified.
Working with our manufacturers, we are an integral part of a network of fifteen manufacturing/shipping locations throughout the U.S. with plants equipped with the most advanced computer tooled machinery in the industry. All components are pre-cut, pre-drilled, pre-welded, and Pre-Engineered before being shipped. Our engineers are certified in all fifty states in virtually every county.

The Founders of Desert West Builders
Art
Jon
Jon grew up in the family commercial construction business in the ’80s and ’90s, learning to operate heavy equipment at twelve years old with Art putting wooden blocks on the brake and gas pedals of their Case Backhoe so his feet could touch the pedals. He moved up through the family business, mastering all aspects from fieldwork as an equipment operator, installer, and job foreman to sales and project management.
In 1995 he heard the call to serve his country and joined the military to become a Navy SEAL. While his initial intention was to serve for six years then rejoin the family business, Sep 11, 2001, changed his destiny for the next two decades. As a SEAL, Jon served in many operational and leadership roles within Naval Special Warfare. He has the distinction of over fourteen combat deployments with various combat-related decorations, unit and service awards.
After twenty-three years of honorable service, Jon retired from the military as a Chief Warrant Officer Four and enjoys spending his weekends with his ten-year-old son hiking and camping in the Sierra Nevada mountains.
